Hi! Right now I am on a plane traveling for work and I’ll be there allllll week. Yay.
This weekend was a great one, naturally, and here’s why:
Friday night the bow tie dog Senator and I had a most excellent run.
I should get a life, right? Saturday was the best but it started off with an AWFUL 9 mile run. I just couldn’t get into it and I think I just had some really tired legs. I think my legs were not ready for a run after the several runs I went on this week.
At mile 7, my friend and I ran by a donut shop and while I’m not normally a donut fan, these aren’t just any kind of donuts. They are made with all real ingredients and they are so fresh. My mouth is watering just thinking about them.
Naturally after the run, I drove my happy self over there once I finished and fetched a whole box of these babies. YES!!!!
Then I got my nails done, went shopping, oh, and also helped execute a surprise birthday party for two of the most awesome ladies in the world.
Catherine and I have been planning their surprise birthday party for quite some time and I’m so happy it all came together on Saturday! Rebekah was wayyyy surprised but the sleuth Jacque had a hunch that something was up. In any case, it was successful!!

And yesterday was a dreary day so naturally I didn’t leave the couch. Or do anything at all. Ha, the perfect end to my perfect weekend! Happy Monday everyone!

i’m SO GLAD it all worked out! i wasn’t sure what weekend it was going to be (i thought it was next weekend) but i’m happy that the bitch was surprised!! no wonder that whore ignored my email. go give her a slap for me and by that, i obvs mean a face-hump. work travelling sucks balls for real 😦

I really kind of hope my job involves some travel, but I am also a homebody so I wouldn’t want to be going away all the time. Your weekend really does sound awesome minus a not-so-great long run. But you got it done and that’s what counts! Happy Monday pretty lady 🙂

Love this!! What a great friend you are! I like surprises, but like your friend I usually can tell when something is going to happen haha. And yay for those donuts!! I’m a donut fiend, I definitely have to keep my distance from them because I have a very hard time saying no. Those were seriously deserved after a hard run! And BOO for traveling again!! Hopefully this week flies by for you!

So cute – you’re such a good friend for planning a joint surprise. With two cakes! I love surprises – probably too much. And I get what you mean – I’m not a big donut person (my sweet tooth is used primarily on cookies and ice cream) but those look pretty good!

Omg you guys are the best friends ever! A surprise bday party AND they each got their own favorite cake?? You and Heather’s hubby Aaron need to give someone up here some pointers come September haha. I hate those runs where your legs never feel warmed up/only feel tired the whole time. Those are the ones where every mile lasts forever, and I’m counting them down to be done. Sorry Saturday’s run was like that, but I love that you went and got donuts after. I’m not a huge donut fan, either, but those look and sound amazing!! Safe travels this week 🙂

I don’t travel for work. I just sit in a room without windows from 8-5, Mon-Fri, dreaming of what the sun feels like. Sometimes I think traveling for work would be a lot more exciting but I know it can be stressful too. I think we just need to get paid to travel for fun.
